Here are a couple important reminders as we approach next week.
1) Wednesday October 28 there is no School. Teacher work day in preparation for conferences
2) Thursday the 29th and Friday October 30th is Parent teacher conferences. Teachers will be scheduling them virtually across the district. Thursday’s hours are 7:30am-7:30pm and Friday from 7:30am-11:30am.
3) October 27th is our last day of the quarter. Please see my letter home at this link: https://ice.lagrandesd.org/o/ices/article/330940 It addresses Halloween festivities. Please look there for guidance.
4) Thank you for your increased efforts in wearing face coverings on campus. We appreciate the help.

This is a reminder that tomorrow is picture day for our K-3 students. There will be a make up day later in the year for those who are gone. 4-5 will have a day when they are back.

Here are a couple reminders/pieces of information.
1. Picture day is Oct 19th. This is for K-3. Our 4-5 students will have a day when they return
2. PartentVue activation letters are in the mail. Those should arrive soon
3. Mark your calendar for December 3rd from 12pm-7pm. Our annual Poinsettia sale will be different this year. Our PTO has ordered a bulk order and we will have plants available on a first come first serve basis. We will be sending out sizes and prices in Tuesday folders. We will also post flyers to Facebook and the website.

Thank you! It's been a great week and we appreciate your flexibility, kindness and positivity all week. Here are a couple important reminders.
1. No school Friday 10/9. It is a state in-service day for Staff
2. If your student is arriving after 8:05, we'll have them come in the front door to check in.
3. If your student is ill, we ask that you have them stay home. If you have questions, call the main office before sending them.

We are so excited to have our Kindergarten - 3rd grade students back with us starting on October 5th! Hours are from 8am-1pm. We encourage all families to transport their children if they are able. Busing is available for those who need it. If you want your student riding the bus, you must fill out the forms on our website and return those to the office here at Island City Elementary or to Mid Columbia Bus Co. All kids 18 and under eat free under a Seamless Summer Option! La Grande School District will be providing meals for children under the age of 18. Lunch can be picked up at any of our elementary schools from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm.
