It’s National Thank You Month! Thank You Month is an opportunity to spread kindness by thanking all the people who’ve helped us along the way.
To kick off Thank You Month, we want to thank you for your dedication. Every day, you encourage your student to learn and grow. You are a major reason for the success of our students, and it’s an honor to serve your family.
We encourage you to spend some time this January thinking about what you’re thankful for and express gratitude for those who have helped you. Help from others is so appreciated and, at times, needed. If you or a family member needs extra support, La Grande School District partnered with Care Solace to support the well-being of students and their family members. If you or a family member are looking for help with mental health or substance use treatment and would like to use Care Solace to help you find a provider:

PUBLIC NOTICE – SAFETY CONCERN
Today, January 5, 2024, The Union County Sheriff’s Office reported that a slender, dark skinned male in a 2018 brown Chevy Equinox with New York plates pulled up next to students during the high school lunch period and asked them to get in his vehicle. Law enforcement responded to the scene and resolved the situation directly with the individual. LHS administrators were notified and additional law enforcement patrols were requested and will be patrolling the area and on site. Please visit with your student(s) about the potential danger of getting into vehicles with people they do not know.
For additional information on how to talk with your student about the potential dangers you may access this resource.
