Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

Q: What’s the schedule?

A: School hours are 8am-1pm Monday through Friday for K-3. For 4-5 students it is the same as we are still in Distance Learning. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 8-12pm

Q: Do they have to wear masks?

A: Yes. All students and staff are required to wear masks or face shields. Practicing this week before returning can be a great way to get ready.

Q: What do I do if my child is feeling ill?

A: We have strict guidelines that require us to send home students who are ill or symptomatic. If your child is not feeling well, please keep them home. It will save you and us, a lot of time and energy as you are asked to come get them right away. If your student misses class our staff will work hard to provide the resources and materials needed to continue learning.

Q: Do the students get lunch and breakfast at school?

A: Yes. Daily meals will be provided free of charge. Meals can still be picked up from 11:30-1 for students not yet attending.

Q: Will there be recess? PE? Music? Library?

A: Yes, we will maintain stable cohorts in our classes, but we will have all of these activities

Q: Can I walk my student into class on the first day?

A: Unfortunately not at this time. You can walk them to the door, but we can’t have visitors in the classroom under current restrictions.

Q: Where will my student enter the building?

A: We will enter the building in the outdoor exit closest to your student’s classroom. For 1st and 2nd grade students that will be on the east side of the building through the gate. For Kindergarten and 3rd grade students, that will be on the west side of the building. There will be signage and people directing you to the proper location.

Q: Where will my student get picked up from?

A: Your student will exit the building where they entered. 1st grade will come out of the gate and be in front of the main doors. 2nd Grade will come out the gate and be in the grass area under the trees. Kindergarten will be on the sidewalk by the gravel parking lot, and 3rd grade will be in the grassy area near the shipping container.

Q: When will this go back to normal?

A: When we get updated guidance and regulations from the state.

Q: If I have questions, who do I call?

A: Contact our main office at 541-663-3270
