Island City Elementary School Winter Program Information
After many years of having some spacing issues in the gym of Island City School, we are excited to do a night program in a larger venue. It is our first time, so there may be bumps, but it will be a great evening to celebrate through music. Here are some details about the evening.
Location and time:
Tuesday, December 16th La Grande High School Auditorium. 6:30pm start time.
Students should arrive between 6 and 6:10pm at the main gym and auditorium entrance at La Grande High school. This is located at the intersection of 2nd and J avenue.
Students will wait in an adjacent classroom for their turn to perform. There will be a movie playing - The Polar Express (G). There will be staff at the entrance to direct you and your student to that place. We will have teachers with their students.
Your student will wait there and you can go find your seat. We anticipate a full house. Please be mindful of others as you get seated.
The program begins at 6:30pm sharp.
All students will perform with their grade level and then exit the stage to the classroom to wait.
When we are finished we will stagger our dismissal (K-1, 2-3, 4-5) to go and pick up their students. We ask that families wait until their turn is called to minimize traffic in the hallway.

Unfortunately, traffic and parking will be tight as there are some athletic events going on as well that evening. We encourage you to plan ahead with your time for parking and getting to the auditorium.
